Fun fun day!

Today I went to the Tampa Scrapbook Expo. I LOVE these shows. I always get so many fun ideas. I didn't spend as much this time as usual, since I'm out of work and I have also realized I just don't need so much "stuff". I've actually gotten rid of alot of my craft stuff on ebay, that I no longer use. I went there with specific items in mind, and only bought a few things I hadn't planned on. Oh yeah, and I joined "Storytellers" scrapbooking club. I hadn't planned on that! But it seems like a great deal and I can cancel at anytime. I love the idea of scrapbook "kits", everything is all ready to go, I just have to make it my own! I'll post some pics in the next few days.

Twilight.

I am in the midst of a full-on Twilight obsession. I FINALLY saw the first movie on Halloween. Yeah, I know I'm behind the rest of the world. Anyway, I LOVED it. I really didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Can't wait for New Moon! Anyway, I took some tags I bought at Staples, and turned them into these -

LOVE!!

And by the way, if you have this -

And at least one of these -

Then you need THIS -

And you'll end up with this -

Don't you love it?? I wish I had thought of that!

Well, I'm late for World Card Making Day, but at least I showed up right?? Ok, some quick updates, I went to 3 scrapbooking events this week. THREE!! I had so much fun and met so many nice people. I finally learned how to do alot stuff I've wanted to do, including making distressed items and mini books. LOVE mini books. I made a bunch of Halloween cards and the mini book this week. What did you make today?

The Character Cafe!

I found another digital stamp company The Character Cafe. Cute cute cute! They're having a design team call and today is the last day to apply! I'm just squeezing in before the deadline. Wish me luck!! The cute little number above is from their June 2009 release. The image is called Brady & Stacey "Swingin". I added heart brads because they look like they might have a little crush on each other :) I used copics to color the image and glitter on her shirt, headband, and to give her some earrings. Hopefully you can see the little sparkly details in the close up. The pink card is a random generic card and the green polka dot paper is from Papertrey Ink.

More polka dots and a Bombshell!

My first Bombshell Stamp! Isn't she gorgeous?? I LOVE this image and I love the way the card came out. I just ordered another set so I'll be posting another Bombshell card next week. The skull has a silver tooth, although it doesn't show up very well in the pic. There are also silver accents on both glasses and a silver bracelet on the girl. I colored this with Copics, an Inkssentials White Accent Pen, and a Gelly Roll Silver Star pen.

Polka dots and a Halloween Card!

This is my first digital stamp! I'll admit, I was very hesitant to use digital stamps because I didn't know how they would turn out with my printer ink. But I'm here to tell you, I LOVE THEM. First, let's discuss the instant gratification! You mean, I can have that stamp I just fell in love with online RIGHT NOW?? I wish I had that option with every stamp I ever wanted! I had absolutely no problems with using my Copic markers, and I barely waited a minute after I pulled it off the printer. I bought the stamp, printed it, and had it colored and on a card in less than an hour. Anyway, this adorable little BatCat came from Digital Pencil Too. Check them out, you'll love them!!

Don't you just LOVE polka dots? This card is for my mom's co-worker and my mom picked out the colors. Came out cute, huh?? This is a Stampingbella image.

Here are the 2 cards I am submitting to be considered for a spot as a member of the DT for the new stamp company I told you about, Your Next Stamp . This is their first design team call and I would LOVE to be a member!

I especially love stamps that require lots of coloring. Both of these images include the following for color -
Copics
Prismacolor Pencils
Gamsol odorless mineral spirits
Gelly Roll Stardust Clear Star Pen

Thank you so much for looking!

Lots of pretty stuff!

Ok, so I said I would be posting some Halloween stuff, but today you get to see a Christmas card instead! I know, I know, kind of random. I am really going to crack down and get some Halloween stuff posted by the end of the week. I promise!! I'm going to try out for a design team, for the new company I told you about the other day - Your Next Stamp - wish me luck!!

Don't you love this card? I made it for a friend's baby, Khloe. This was made with a fiskars stamp, stamped onto pink cardstock and placed on card with adhesive foam. Such a simple looking card, but one of my favorites.

This card is made with the dogwalkabella stamp from Stampingbella. She is colored with Copics, Prismacolor and Gamsol.

This cute snowman is from Darcies, and I got it at Stampfest in February this year. He is colored with Copics, Prismacolor and Gamsol.

Don't you hate when you forget to take a picture...

...with your REAL camera and you have to use your cell phone? Argh!!! I made a really cute birthday card for my aunt and I was rushing out the door and one of my stops was the post office. I forgot to take a pic of the card, and if I waited until tomorrow to mail it, it would have been late. So, I used my blackberry. This is the result -

Not so good. Anyway, the card came out really good. I used a Stampingbella stamp.

Have you heard of a new stamp company called, yournextstamp ? Really cute stamps!! Check them out. I'm getting some!!

Now I leave you with a candid shot that could only be captured with my cell phone because that's what was close -

I was punching TONS of shapes and he wanted to take a pic with the scraps.

Trick or Treat!

Today I'm showing you a cute memo pad I designed and created. To bind it, I used the Carla Craft Binding System. I've never used any other binding systems so I'm not sure how complicated they are, but this one is really easy to use and super cheap. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be posting more and more Halloween projects. Stay tuned!

Wait, come back - I'm still here!

Hello all! I know I've been gone for awhile but I'm still very much alive :) I recently went to the CHA show in Orlando, and was a little disappointed. But it was their first year having it open to the public so maybe it will be better in the future. I bought quite a few stamp sets, lots of adhesive and a ton of buttons.

Have you heard of Bombshell Stamps?? O.M.G. These are THE coolest and most funky stamps I've ever seen. Those of you that know me in real life know that these stamps are SO me. Tattoo and pinup stamps. Does it get any better?? Check them out.

Here is a card I made from one of my new sets I got at the show. Enjoy!

Stampfest 2009 in Orlando!

SO.MUCH.FUN. I went to stampfest and took a class afterwards from Inky Antics. We made 4 really cute cards, and we took home the complete instructions to make them again. Just like the last Stampfest, I spent most of my money at the Inky Antics booth and their other company, Art Gone Wild. I bought a binding system, and some other fun stuff, so hopefully I'll get myself in card making mode and get to work this week and post some pics. For now I'll leave you with the cards from last night. The first pic, the pink card with the window and spinning wheel, I didn't make, Michelle from Art Gone Wild demo'd it and gave me the card. I bought the template to make it though. The 4 cards after that are from last night. The yellow one with the chicken on the front is a confetti card. When you pull it out from the bottom, it shoots confetti at you! Then a card I made for my cousin's 60th birthday.

I met the MFT lady!

I took a class that was given by Kim from My Favorite Things stamps at Stamping Station in Mt. Dora on saturday. First, I have to say I LOVE Mt. Dora and I wish I could live there! Such a cute place.

Kim was delightful, funny and her class was great. I learned alot from her, including how to use my copics to shade. I also made a box from cardstock! I put an "M" on the box and gave it to my mom with candy in it on Mother's Day. I'm posting 2 of the projects I made in class saturday with one of MFT's new sets "Girls Day In", and 2 more Mother's Day cards I made.

Wow, a month? Already??

Ok, so life has gotten in the way of my hobbies! I got laid off, twice (or was it 3 times?). It never really happened though. I kept getting extended, then they decided to keep me. Craziness. But I'm thankful to still be employed!! It's Sunday, it's late so lets get to why you're really here - PICTURES!! Enjoy :)

This Mother's Day card is for Rebecca's future mother-in-law. She stamped it and I did the decorating.
